Responsibilities & Qualifications

TekSynap is looking for a high-performing Director - a strategically seasoned business development executive, with superior professional skills, broad business sense, and a team-oriented, participatory operating style. Duties will include leading business development and capture, building strong internal and external relationships, understanding customer trends to meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve business unit financial targets and metrics, revenue, and profit objectives.

RESPONSIBITLIES
  • Lead business development, capture, and growth activities on the DISA SETI contract vehicle, DISA opportunities outside of DISA SETI, and other agencies as required.
  • Developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base within current and expansionary target markets and accounts.
  • Assist with writing proposals, win theme development, and crafting solutions in coordination with the operational team in response to portfolio capture efforts to include all phases of color reviews.
  • Owning and hitting/exceeding targets within assigned markets and accounts
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives; translate that knowledge into customer-tailored, differentiated solutions.
  • Hands-on, personal engagement throughout the entire business development lifecycle, including effectively communicating the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  • Understand market/account-specific landscapes, addressable markets, customer and procurement trends, and competitive trends
  • Define and implement customer growth strategies and effectively communicating investment rational based on market factors, capability alignment, and TekSynap fit.
  • Learn about TekSynap to be able to "sell" to potential customers
  • Become proficient in the tools that TekSynap utilizes (iCIMS, UnaNet, ADP, SharePoint, OneNote, Microsoft Teams, LinkedIn and others)
  • Build a pipeline from identified opportunities
  • Execute capture of vetted opportunities
  • Participate in and lead teaming negotiations
  • Facilitate solution development
  • Engage with potential customers to determine hot buttons, determine key stakeholders
  • Lead Transition activities upon award including kickoff meetings, contracts/subcontracts, staffing, financial setup, security processing
  • Program execution including the successful delivery of services and products while managing the performance, cost, and schedule
  • Ensure program deliverables are submitted in a timely manner and are of high quality

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Have 7-15 years of experience in program management; and 5 years of leadership experience in the DISA and other 4 th Estate Agencies community with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in the IT and/or consulting fields; have experience with the Information Technology Acquisition process and its milestones.
  • Active PMP Certification.
  • Substantive experience and successful track record of driving business opportunities which result in winning competitive bids in a government contracting environment.
  • Experience in analyzing a variety of source documentation and supporting the creation of acquisition documentation.
  • Previous supervisory, leadership, or mentoring experience with demonstrated ability to lead, coach, inspire, and develop teammates toward achieving desired goals and outcomes.
  • Thorough knowledge of current marketing and sales best practices within the industry and the ability to develop unique strategies based on sound marketing and industry analyses.
  • A strategically seasoned business development leader, with superior professional skills, broad business sense, and a team-oriented, participatory operating style.
  • Proven relationship-based sales results: demonstrated ability to generate productive, valuable relationships that result in long-term clients.
  • Well established networks in the DISA IT community: he/she must establish/expand relationships with prospective clients, as well as identify and develop relationships with current and future partners.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively, independently, and in teams, ensuring timely completion of assignments and meeting established quality standards.
