- Design modeling environment architectures and model repository architectures for various models used by GEOINT analysts for the production and analytic institutional memory for geospatial-intelligence at customer and the broader National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG)
- Design and develop architecture for modeling environments, including systems for creating, managing, and deploying models.
- Design and implement architecture for model repositories, including systems for storing, versioning, and retrieving models.
- Analyze business requirements and technical constraints to develop scalable and efficient solutions for modeling environments and model repositories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data scientists, and business analysts, to understand their needs and incorporate them into the architecture design.
- Ensure that modeling environment and model repository architectures adhere to industry best practices for security, performance, and reliability.
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in modeling environments and model repositories, and recommend relevant technologies for adoption.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Years of Experience: 3-5 with PhD, 6-8 with MS, 8-10 with BS
- Clearance requirement: TS/SCI with eligibility for Polygraph
- Proven experience as a Systems Architect or a similar role, with a focus on designing modeling environment and model repository architectures.
- Strong understanding of modeling techniques, algorithms, and best practices.
- Expertise in system design and architecture principles, including knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, and containerization.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and experience with modeling tools and libraries.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, e.g.) and experience with deploying and managing models in cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Expertise or strong abilities with geospatial data and imagery
- Knowledge of experience with one or more customer and DoD systems and data sources (Cedalion, OGS, MARS e.g.)
- Experience guiding and supporting junior level personnel
