Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as Information Assurance and Cloud computing Subject Matter Expert (SME) with regards to Certification and accreditation (C&A) along with a broad knowledge of NIST RMF standards and guidelines.
  • Expert knowledge in NIST Special Publications 800-53 and 800.37.
  • Identify, manage, and resolve cloud computing security risk and implement "best practices" as applied within a cloud environment (across all of the different deployment and service models, and derivatives).
  • Develop and maintain cloud security documentation and training materials.
  • Knowledge of FedRAMP assessment methodology of security and privacy controls deployed in cloud information systems to include six (6) domain areas:
    • Architectural Concepts & Design Requirements
    • Cloud Data Security
    • Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Security
    • Cloud Application Security
    • Operations
    • Legal & Compliance
  • Work with other members of the Information Security team to develop and implement cloud security policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a technical resource for other team members and provide guidance on cloud security best practices.
  • Stay up to date on the latest cloud computing security trends and technologies.
  • Conduct security assessments of cloud environments to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement cloud security incident response plans.
  • Present cloud security findings and recommendations to management.
  • Work with other IT teams to ensure cloud security is integrated into all aspects of the organization's IT infrastructure.
  • Lead cloud security projects and initiatives.
  • Respond to cloud security incidents and ensure appropriate remediation measures are taken.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Five (5) years of relevant C&A experience; Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST C&A experience
  • DOD IA experience
  • Experience in assessing IA Controls and conducting C&A reviews for large, complex Information systems.
  • Certifications:
    • Cloud Computing Security Certification
      • Cloud Computing Security Professional (CCSP)
      • Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) or equivalent
    • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAM Level I
      • CAP
      • Cloud+
      • CND
      • HCISPP
      • GSLC
      • Security+ CE
      • CAP
      • CASP+CE
      • CISM
      • CISSP (or Associate)
      • GSLC
      • CCISO
  • Clearance: Must possess a Secret clearance and be eligible for an IT II
