Position Overview:
Chemonics International seeks a Senior Learning & Development Associate. The Sr. Learning & Development associate provides implementation support to the organization's enterprise learning needs under the supervision of senior staff, while learning and broadening best practices in training program needs identification, design, delivery, and management. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. This role requires on-site work in our Washington, DC office location as part of our hybrid, flexible work structure.

The Salary Range for this position is expected to be: $55,760 - $69,700.
An employee's pay position will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.

- Supports enterprise learning initiatives to drive the organization's strategic goals.
- Uses the full suite of learning tools (PLMS, Degreed, Teams, Mentimeter) to support effective and efficient asynchronous and instructor-led training activity planning and implementation. Supports university partnerships programs, including MiniMasters programming.
- Develops and maintains relationships with subject matter experts, business process owners, and facilitators throughout the company and continues to expand upon that network.
- Applies communication skills to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including team members, internal clients, and other external partners.
- Applies critical thinking in planning work assignments and is aware of complexity of interdependencies and interrelationships in assignments.
- Independently plans and develops basic to complex training procedures, templates, forms, manuals, and SharePoint sites and ensures compliance with overall corporate policies and standard procedures.
- Undertakes increasingly complex assignments to support all areas of the global training program including needs assessments, design, delivery, and evaluations.
- Independently manages learning and development administration activities, such as corporate calendar requests, troubleshooting technical issues with learning technology, and guidance on professional development training queries.
- Facilitates relevant enterprise-level workshops and courses.
- Facilitates retreats and supports the design and development of support unit retreat agendas with support and guidance from supervisory staff.
- Expands knowledge in instructional design and training delivery through on-the-job training, reviewing internal resources, and attending external learning opportunities where appropriate.
- May supervise interns or temporary administrative staff in their job area.
- Participates in new business activities and billable assignments.
- Fosters and demonstrates a workplace inclusive of creating opportunity, serving others, building trust, innovation, and exceeding expectations.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the required knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed to perform the principal duties.
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience, with ability to handle routine tasks and operational issues.
- Demonstrated interest in adult learning and training program management.
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work assignments.
- Sensitivity to deadlines and ability to pay attention to details in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated integrity, independent thinking, judgment, and respect for others.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in O365 applications and spreadsheets, with data analytics experience preferred.
- Foreign language fluency desired.
- Willingness to work overseas for up to 2-4 weeks per year and to consider long-term overseas assignments; experience living or working in developing countries preferred.
