Job Summary: 
Westat is seeking a Travel Agent with native SABRE knowledge to arrange transportation and lodging for individuals and clients needing domestic and international arrangements. 

Job Responsibilities:
•     Schedule travel-air, hotel, car and Amtrak train arrangements using SABRE. 
•     Schedule travel for in-house and field employees. 
•     Find fare and schedule information for customers' needs and preferences.
•     Make professional, accurate, cost-effective, travel arrangements for all clients. 
•     Follow company procedures, guidelines and standards related to travel reservations. 
•     Develop and maintain Passenger Name Records and profiles.
•     Ensure travel accommodations are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
•     Make alternative booking arrangements if changes arise before and during a trip.
•     Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
•     Typically requires a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 plus years of equivalent work experience in the travel or tourism field. 
•     Requires two (2) years' of recent experience with SABRE and are up-to-date with classes related to the travel industry.

Other Required Qualifications:
•     Must have working knowledge of Native Sabre and Microsoft Office Suite.
•     Excellent communication and computer skills.
•     Good time management and interpersonal skills.
•     Working knowledge and experience in the travel or tourism field.
•     Ability to be diplomatic with clients. 
•     Ability to work well under pressure.
•     High accuracy and attention to detail. 
•     Ability to work in a team environment.
•     Excellent customer service skills.
•     Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
