The MIL Corporation is seeking an Accounting Senior Manager (Accounting, Senior Manager) to work with a Federal client in Mississippi.

The Accounting Senior Manager provides a broad range of financial management knowledge and experience as part of a team delivering accounting and financial support.


Applies leadership of financial management concepts, processes, practices and procedures on technical assignments.

Provides oversight of teams using the systems that support financial management services to perform complex operations.

Oversees accounting and financial management services such as:
  • Operations for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fund balance with Treasury, and travel
  • Reconciliation of journals, subsidiary ledgers, and balances of an accounting system
  • Issues with invoices, statements, accounts, and submitting units
  • Analysis and reconciliation of financial system information with operating unit data
  • Examination and correction of financial management data to ensure completeness and accuracy in accordance with accounting procedures.
  • Maintenance of files, records, and reporting
  • Suggestions for handling unusual or non-recurring transactions
  • Implements process and policy improvements
  • Manages changes to systems and practices across the team
  • Conducts performance measurement and tracking against metrics

An employee in this position oversees team members and works with senior program leaders.

Required Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience in federal financial management
  • Expert-level knowledge of financial management and accounting practices and principles.
  • Expert skills in using the systems that support financial management services
  • Ability to manage federal financial based processes
  • Ability to identify and solve problems through teamwork and consultation
  • Skilled in continuous improvement methodologies
  • Adept at change management
  • Excellent leadership and personnel management skills
  • Well versed in performance measurement and tracking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Qualifications

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.


High school diploma or G.E.D.


Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $95,000 - $120,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
