Job Summary

Aptive Resources is seeking a Senior Communications Products Specialist with a strong background in strategic communications and project management to support and execute efforts for a federal client. The ideal candidate will have experience working on communications for the Department of Veterans Affairs and/or in healthcare innovation and learning.

We are looking for a candidate that is a detail-oriented product specialist with previous experience leading workflows on government contracts. They are skilled in public relations to include handling media requests and managing social media and/or advertising for a wide variety of organizations. They are a proactive problem solver who works well both independently and as part of a team. The candidate must be committed to providing superior customer service and have a positive and flexible attitude. They excel when presenting to clients and are comfortable receiving and implementing feedback on project tasks. They will develop, lead, track, and support program communications across a variety of platforms, and they will ensure themes, messages and desired outcomes are consistent across communication channels.

This is a remote position but may require attending meetings in person. Some additional travel to events may be required. This is a contingent hire position.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support analysis of stakeholder feedback, existing resources, identify problems, risk management, and build out recommendations.
  • Support a range of communications and marketing products, including communications for executive leadership team; evaluation of internal/external social media tools; maintenance, operation, and content support of the Internet/intranet websites and SharePoint, and social media platforms through development of presentations; talking points; and web content
  • Support development of templates, reports, briefings, and other necessary materials.
  • Participate in meetings and support appropriate documentation, agenda development and meeting management.
  • Identify risks and mitigation strategies


Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree plus 8 years of experience or BA/BS with 10 years of experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Experience drafting communication plans and policies, templates and style guides and digital communications
  • Experience with implementing proven successful communications campaigns in an integrated health care setting.
  • Experience providing expert advice related to strategic communications for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
