Manager, Process Management - Finance Tech

As a member of the Finance Tech Engineering Excellence team, you will apply your analytical, risk management, program, and process management skills to support our Enterprise Tools, Jira and Reporting best practices, Cyber Vulnerability management, Enterprise Tech Backlog, BAU Compliance and Management Strategy, and Governance reporting.

In this role, you will collaborate with Enterprise Cyber, Product, Product Operations, and Finance Tech application teams. Through continuous partnership with stakeholders across the organization, you will identify and drive improvements to achieve the team's well managed objectives and reduce risks related to technology and regulatory requirements for Finance Tech.

This position encompasses responsibilities across Portfolio Performance and Reporting as well as Risk Management. The team is seeking a highly motivated professional with excellent organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. This individual will be able to develop and implement innovative solutions and processes to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Finance Tech Organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Finance Product, Product Operations, On Demand Finance Transformation, Enterprise Data and Machine Learning's (EDML) Project and Program Management Team, Cyber, and Tech to proactively plan and communicate upcoming Enterprise tool related initiatives and monitor progress and impediments
  • Manage Finance Tech Management compliance issues by identifying gaps and working through remediation activities
  • Utilize Capital One approved technologies to access data sources to ensure access management reviews and analyses are delivered in an accurate and timely manner
  • Support the timely delivery of regular monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual deliverables for SOX, Audit, and Risk reviews and controls for Finance Tech applications
  • Promote strategic vision and execute tactical operations to implement overarching tool and process risk assessments and risk management programs across Finance Tech
  • Partner with Product, Product Operations, and Tech to ensure proper data integrity processes and attention to detail
  • Interact with business counterparts and other Tech associates to ensure appropriate coverage of shared controls and shared processes
  • Proactively engage team members and project leads to ensure that system changes or enhancements consider necessary data integrity and reporting standards before implementation
  • Own reporting on Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), Risk, and Cyber Governance tools and metrics to provide transparency to various stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities and work with business stakeholders and partners to embed tool usage best practices into daily operations and business processes
  • Analyze process improvement opportunities and drive efficiencies throughout the organization
  • Manage Enterprise Tools Governance to ensure compliance with Enterprise requirements
  • Prepare and present ad hoc analysis to various levels of leadership, requiring the ability to recognize trends and apply knowledge of the overall portfolio for context


Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of project or process management experience
  • At least 2 years of program management or risk management experience
  • At least 2 years of experience working with technology teams
  • At least 2 years of experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) or Snowflake


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL
  • 2+ years of experience delivering technology and system implementation programs
  • 2+ years of experience with the regulatory framework governing the financial services industry
  • 2+ years of experience with Python
  • 1+ years of experience with Tableau
