RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide artifacts as related to the products and services awarded under the contract to allow DISA the ability to update/maintain the Risk Management Framework (RMF) DoD accreditations within the eMASS system and Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 8510.01.
- Implement the applicable security controls based on NIST Special Publication 800-53 and NIST Special Publication 800-53A. The applicable security controls will be selected based on the DISA system categorization found in Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
- Maintain secure applications and configurations through applying applicable DoD STIGs, checklists, vendor security guidance, industry best practices, and applicable vendor product security patches.
- Ensure currently deployed and new applications comply with DoDI 8500.2 IA Implementation (current version) and DoDI 8551.1 Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (current version).
- Facilitate and leverage automated tools to identify and remediate vulnerabilities or weaknesses in the currently deployed applications.
- Assess the implications and coordinate solutions for required security updates that affect the systems with operations personnel and monitor their successful implementation.
- Ensure the system engineering design is compliant with applicable IA requirements, STIGs/Checklist, DISA Joint Operations Center Task Orders, ACAS results, and DISA AO
- Coordinate with the Government, facilitate the submittal, and assist in the draft documentation in support Government requirements to accomplish submittal of new and amended Certification and Accreditation packages for the infrastructure including system configuration of all components.
- Analyze STIG, IAVA, and ACAS scans and provide appropriate supporting IA documentation for upload as artifacts in eMASS.
- Provide weekly input on the present security status of the systems to include, but not limited to, open IAVAs, STIGS and plans to mitigate vulnerabilities if vulnerabilities cannot be mitigated within 60 days of release.
- Provide detailed Plan of Action for Mitigation documentation and seek approval from the Program Information Security System Manager (ISSM).
- Provide support for all efforts, duties, and documents for requesting and maintaining Authority to Operate approvals. Completed STIG checklist results for all applicable assets shall be provided to the ISSM for review and archive annually as evidence of
- Responsible for the development, integration and Tier III support of Cyber Defense systems that are focused on identifying, thwarting, and reporting any Cyber Attack or incident. This applies to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Cyber Remediation. Identify a trend analysis tracking mechanism for projecting operational impact of identified vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate support among the Government, operations support personnel, Tier III Engineering, the Program Office, ISSM, Program Office IA team, and Contractor PM in providing required IA artifacts, reporting IA posture/status, assist in addressing present and upcoming IA vulnerabilities in providing recommendations, and provide coordination support. IA administrative support will consist of, at a minimum, IA analysis, engineering, risk mitigation and other required efforts to obtain
- Support development of system documentation to facilitate the security assessment and authorization of the system according to DODI 01 RMF and the associated security controls as defined in DODI 8500.1, Cyber Security Implementation.
- Identify, report, and resolve various flaws or potential vulnerabilities within an information system. These flaws can be discovered through vendor product announced software flaws, vulnerability scanning, security assessments, audits, continuous monitoring, incident response activities, system error handling, and documentation review.
- Work with DISA to either remediate or mitigate the vulnerability or flaw in the time frames laid out in the Configuration Management Plan based on the severity / category level of the finding.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in Cybersecurity and an MA/MS degree in an Information Technology or Computer Science discipline. Additional six (6) years of experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
