We are seeking a Infrastructure Cabling Coordinator to join our team supporting the Department of Veteran Affairs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management of Cabling Partners and installation crews to include: copper and fiber cabling installation, testing, and troubleshooting, and wireless access point installation.
- Monitoring of day-to-day onsite project activities to ensure Cabling Partners remain on schedule, within budget, within scope, and meet project quality and safety standards.
- Use of approved verification procedures to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Timely reporting of project issues and concerns with the Cabling Partners
- In- and out-of-state travel as needed for site install quality assurance (QA) visits
- Identify, schedule, and manage the workload distribution among established Cabling Partners for project installations.
- Develop installation status reports to keep the management team and other project personnel informed of troubleshooting and issue status, Cabling Partner scheduling status, and Cabling Partner pricing negotiations.
- Provide technical guidance to project personnel and assist with problem resolution.
- Develop and maintain cabling and project documentation.
- Works to expand current Cabling Partner pool of companies for use with installations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of experience working in the cabling infrastructure field, to include install team management.
- Inside (ISP) and outside cabling plant (OSP) experience
- Familiarity with major cable manufactures installation standards and testing criteria including, but not limited to, Corning, Panduit, Systimax, Commscope, Corning, and others.
- Ability to work shift hours as required to meet project requirements.
- Employment is contingent upon obtaining all required certifications within the timeframe specified in a waiver by the government (if applicable) and maintaining required certifications through the duration of the contract.
- Must exhibit a professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity in the workplace.
- Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to work effectively with a variety of government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels
- Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of telecommunications industry and installation including voice and data structured cabling systems.
- Ability to develop, read, and interpret rack elevation drawings.
- Ability to research information and identify solutions regarding technical issues.
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.)
- Must be able to successfully pass a Dept. of Veteran Affairs background check.
- Must be able to successfully pass a Federal background check.
- Must successfully pass drug screen
- Must reside within the continental United States
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
