Security is essential to what we do at Capital One, from protecting our customers to our associates. Capital One is hiring a Cyber Security professional to join the Core Data Protection team and build out the service area's day-to-day management processes and procedures.

General Responsibilities:

• Assist in risk management process and related program delivery items, including reporting, engagement in senior leadership meetings, drafting and reviewing materials for senior management and other risk governance activities.
  
• Maintain documentation related to Core Data Protection; this may include operating procedure documentation, stakeholder communications, and service area updates.
  
• Develop service area risk reports and be able to tailor reporting and communications to upstream (e.g., executive management) and downstream (e.g., Line of Business stakeholder) stakeholder audiences.
  
• As needed, assess related risk reduction and mitigation plans for adequacy, suggesting additions or changes where appropriate.
  
• Assess, report on, and make recommendations regarding current and proposed Core Data Protection service area operational risk cadences and processes.
  
• Exhibit a proven track record of risk-related project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work.
  
• Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes.
  
• Passion and expertise in cybersecurity, with an ability to be confident, respectful, and articulate when registering dissenting or unpopular opinions.
  
• Ability to manage multiple project workstreams while maintaining superior results.
  

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  
• At least 4 years of experience in managing, consulting, or working in the fields of cybersecurity, technology, or risk management
  
• At least 4 years of experience developing, evaluating, or implementing cybersecurity strategy or governance structures
  
• At least 4 years of project management experience
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
  
• 5+ years of experience in managing, consulting, or working in the fields of cybersecurity, technology, or risk management
  
• 5+ years of project management experience
  
• Security+, CISSP, CISA, SSCP, CASP, or CCSP

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $131,400 - $150,000 for Prin Assoc, Cyber Risk & Analysis; $160,200 - $182,800 for Manager, Cyber Risk & Analysis

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
