Senior Manager, Process Management, Enterprise Payments Shared Services

The Enterprise Payments organization is at the core of how we move money at Capital One. We are a dynamic organization that manages our critical money movement rails (ACH, Check, Debit, RTP, and Wires) as well as providing the oversight for our end -to-end payments strategy, operations and risk management for all payment types across the Enterprise. As a Process Excellence Sr. Manager for Capital One's Retail Bank Enterprise Payments Organization, you will lead a team of associates to support flawlessly executed standards and controls for critical business processes that directly impact customers, front line associates, and improve our risk posture. The ideal candidate for this position is a process focused leader with experience leading a Process Excellence agenda in the technology or financial services industries. This leader will be a customer-focused, value-adding partner who collaborates on strategic process design while also evolving business process definition, risk reduction, monitoring, and controls. This leader will bring process discipline to design, transform, and continuously improve processes that are critical to the organization's strategy. This leader should be able to communicate at all levels of the organization and lead / mentor a team which includes thought-leadership and skill training that grows the next generation of Process Excellence leaders in our organization.

Key responsibilities for this role in the Enterprise Payments team include :
  • Developing a coherent destination strategic process structure and process designs
  • Developing and driving a certification schedule and managing all activities in an Agile fashion while keeping stakeholders updated
  • Leading cross-functional teams to drive process improvement initiatives, ensuring governance practices are established and managed effectively to enable process innovation.
  • Creating & executing on a strategy that aligns Enterprise Payment's Critical Business Processes and Controls across Intent and Execution value chains for the Retail Bank
  • Leading and developing a team of process experts that will define, document, deliver and manage business processes and controls in alignment with end state goals
  • Designing, developing, and managing process initiatives in a dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements
  • Providing strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive results
  • Leveraging data from root causes of risk issues and events to drive process improvements mitigating these risks
  • Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments. Demonstrate curiosity and aptitude to learn about the current regulatory environment and internal policies within Retail Bank and the Enterprise
  • Cultivating a culture that is adaptive, inclusive and focused on associate growth and development that embraces our changing environment.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Process Management or Project Management
  • At least 3 years of People Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
  • CRCM, CAMS, CIPP, or ABA Risk Management certification
  • 8+ years of Process Management experience
  • 6+ years of Project Management experience
  • 5+ years of People Management experience
  • 5+ years of Risk Management experience
