this opportunity with Chenega Analytical Business Solutions (CABS) at the Enterprise Multimedia Center (EMC), you will help offer a full range of services and solutions to support and promote the readiness of the American Soldier. The EMC is the one-stop shop for visual information services throughout the Federal Government and the Department of Defense. EMC offers a full range of media services to enlist, educate, and empower the warfighter.
Summary:
TheSenior Video Producer/Director/Writer will provide video service, including producing, directing all phases of video production, and live switching.
Work you'll do:
As a Senior Video Producer/Director/Writer within our Enterprise Multimedia Center (EMC) team, you will:
• Ensure all software and hardware are up to speed with the current production methods, as well as obtain the proper certifications, credentials, and training in motion picture equipment operation, audio recording and sound equipment, and scripting and special effects techniques.
• Plan and implement schedules from pre-production to final distribution, communicating all pertinent information to the client and keeping the COR, the KO, and EMC Director/VI Manager up to date on the process.
• Keep each project on budget and on time for both the client and the EMC and be able to manage an overrun with approval.
• Operate as a self-managed person who delivers results and can speak on behalf of the interest of the EMC as the production process unfolds.
• Consult with management and creative staff on technology purchases or leasing, number, and type of production tools available, editing processes, camera packages, and the workflow to provide an original image to final edit.
• Work with the client to discover the story to be told with vetted examples of the final multimedia products.
• Provide cost estimates and document materials and hours worked for each project.
• Electronically backup all final files of all images created that allow additions, changes, corrections, modifications, layers, and rapid updates.
• Complete annual company and customer training requirements according to established policies and procedures.
• Record labor hours daily in an online corporate system.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED is required
o Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Accomplished scriptwriter with 8-10 years of experience
• Background check and must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance within 6 months of hire
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to pass customer security requirements.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively explain VIOS issues and the status of work requests in a manner customers understand.
• Ability to perform basic accounting and scheduling functions to support the US Army Visual Information Ordering System (VIOS)
• Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality when dealing with proprietary information and sensitive situations
• Ability to perform basic accounting and scheduling functions to support the US Army Visual Information Ordering System (VIOS).
• Ability to possess strong interpersonal skills, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
• Must have basic computer knowledge, a good work ethic, and demonstrate problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to assist in other areas of the VI/Multimedia Center
