this opportunity with Chenega Analytical Business Solutions (CABS) at the Enterprise Multimedia Center (EMC), you will help offer a full range of services and solutions to support and promote the readiness of the American Soldier. The EMC is the one-stop shop for visual information services throughout the Federal Government and the Department of Defense. EMC offers a full range of media services to enlist, educate, and empower the warfighter.
Summary:
TheSenior-Level III Print Center Lead shall provide expertise in print production systems and processes, and possess knowledge of invention, imagination, and originality.
Work you'll do:
As a Senior-Level III Print Center Lead within our Enterprise Multimedia Center (EMC) team, you will:
• Serve as the Lead for the Print Center Production and will work in concert with the Art Director to manage and control print production workflow and customer expectations.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities by Chenega policies and applicable laws, including monthly review and approval of time cards.
• Provide large-format print production services: Provide wide-format print on various materials.
• Prepare files for printing received from Graphics Designers and ensure formatting and layout are correct before printing.
• Laminate and cut printed projects according to work requests.
• Deliver the final printed product to the next station as required by work request.
• Responsible for maintaining the operational readiness of all equipment assigned to the print center.
• Notify the production manager of any equipment malfunction in the print center.
• Consult with clients/customers to clarify graphic products/services available to meet the customers' graphic needs.
• Provide cost estimates and document materials and hours worked for each project.
• Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and upgraded.
• Serve as the Environmental Coordinator for the EMC responsible for maintaining hazardous material records, proper handling, storage, and disposal of all hazardous and non-hazardous material.
• Complete annual company and customer training requirements according to established policies and procedures.
• Record labor hours daily in an online corporate system.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
o Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 10+ years' experience in the field of large-format print production.
• Background check required and must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance within 6 months of hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to pass customer security requirements.
• Possess strong leadership abilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required: ability to interact with all levels of staff, government personnel, management, and customers.
• Must be well organized, an effective communicator at multiple levels, and able to grasp system concepts and communicate their applications.
• Must be capable of quickly learning new systems and associated software applications for proficient execution of tasks.
• Must be capable of managing multiple projects with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment.
• Possess strong time management skills and ability to multitask.
• Have expert knowledge of equipment and materials.
• Knowledge and familiarity with the Zund M-2500 series cutting table, the Vutek/EFI GS2000 large format printer, professional-grade color printers, flatbeds, and various other equipment.
