this opportunity with Chenega Analytical Business Solutions (CABS) at the Enterprise Multimedia Center (EMC), you will help offer a full range of services and solutions to support and promote the readiness of the American Soldier. The EMC is the one-stop shop for visual information services throughout the Federal Government and the Department of Defense. EMC offers a full range of media services to enlist, educate, and empower the warfighter.

Summary:

TheFabrication Services Specialist-Mid will provide fabrication services including but not limited to; CAD design and CNC fabricator, and machinist with the ability to engineer solutions, design, fabricate, and finish work for various projects in a machine shop environment. When required install products in the customer location.

Work you'll do:

As a Fabrication Services Specialist-Mid within our Enterprise Multimedia Center (EMC) team, you will:

• Provide designed production in Exhibit and Display Making Services (EDMS) to include but not limited to the designs and fabrication for customers.

• Consult with customers to clarify EDMS products/services available to meet the customer's needs.

• Provide CAD design and produce CNC fabricated products utilizing 2D and 3D cut and print technologies.

• Assist with installations and removal of audio-visual equipment.

• Fabricate and/or print replicas that have the characteristics and proportional dimensions of actual operational equipment.

• Fabricate exhibits and displays that range from tabletop displays to elaborate exhibits.

• Maintain all training aids and devices to include training, maintenance, and issue/receive equipment.

• Provide cost estimates and document materials and hours worked for each project.

• Perform minor administrative duties such as answering phones and assisting customers with request forms.

• Keep the Fabrication Shop clean and conduct daily housekeeping before securing.

• Complete annual company and customer training requirements according to established policies and procedures.

• Record labor hours daily in an online corporate system.

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and applicable certification in related fields of study.

o Associate degree preferred.

• 6+ years of relevant work experience.

• Forklift and Aerial Operator training required within 30 days of hire.

• Background check required and must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance within 6 months of hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to pass customer security requirements.

• Shall be trained in Fabrication Design Software, Fabrication Systems, and Hardware before employment.

• Must be an expert in VI and possess knowledge of invention, imagination, and originality.

• Working knowledge of EDMS-type work, including the ability to operate all types of powered equipment including:

o Computer Numerical Control (CNC),

o Plasma Cutters,

o 3D Rapid Prototype printers and typical machining and woodworking machinery,

o Application of finishes such as lacquers, paints, varnishes, shellac, and fillers by hand or spray gun.

• Working knowledge of design software, including Solidworks and Adobe Suite.

• Desired knowledge of Aspire.

• Certified Solidworks professional or associate desired.

• Strong customer service skills, including verbal and written communication.

• Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite applications.

• Working knowledge of a host of tools associated with welding, milling, woodwork, metalwork, painting, framing, and installation.

• Ability to perform routine maintenance on milling equipment.

• Ability to operate a forklift and aerial lift.

• Ability to pass a health check and gain approval for wearing a respirator.

• Must be well organized, an effective communicator at multiple levels, and able to grasp system concepts and communicate their applications.

• Must be capable of quickly learning new systems and associated software applications for proficient execution of tasks.

• Must be capable of managing multiple projects with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment.

• Must possess a valid US driver's license.

• Ability to travel up to 10%.
