Job Summary
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), requires professional support services to assist the Deputy Under Secretary for Health (DUSH) - who is accountable for specific health care programs enabling and supporting virtually every aspect of patient care provided to Veterans - with the development, administration, and management of various emerging initiatives, some of which are legislatively mandated. Aptive serves as VHA's strategic partner to transform the country's largest and most complex health care organization - with 1,600 care sites across 50 states and a staff of approximately 300,000 employees caring for over six million Veterans - into a clinically led, outcomes-focused, and technology-enabled organization.

Primary Responsibilities
- Ensuring delivery and quality of the solutions meets the business requirements.
- Experience in interpreting functional and non-functional requirements into Microsoft Power Platform applications
- Review existing SharePoint architecture, identify deficiencies, and develop solutions.
- Design and developing custom SharePoint sites, pages, libraries, lists, views, workflows and scripts.
- Assist in communicating new features released to customers.
- Create and maintain application solution documentation.
- Assist in creating end-user and technical documentation.
- Integrate Microsoft PowerApps/Power Automate into SharePoint.
- Design visually appealing and functional sites, pages, and web parts using Government-provided SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 products.
- Develop graphic design solutions for customer facing SharePoint site design/branding.
- Manage SharePoint permissions and create lists, document libraries, dashboards, forms, and complex automated tools and workflows.
- Integration support with other Microsoft 365 applications, such as OneDrive, Teams, and Azure.
- Migrate content from legacy Government systems such as VA's TeamSite Content Management System and legacy SharePoint versions and communicate progress with stakeholders.
- Support 508 Compliance for all SharePoint changes that require review to ensure documents, capabilities, tools, and workflows are compliant.
- Create and/or update required documentation such as user guides, job aids, Standard Operating Procedures, Service Level Agreements, and project documentation.
- Provide knowledge management support to include ensuring documentation is complete, up to date, and stored according to office policy.
- Advise on technical best practices and efficiencies with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 solutions through optimization and automation using the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree
- Agile and scrum methodology knowledge
- Strong understanding of the Power Apps platform, including its capabilities and limitations
- Human-centered design practices, such as:
- User research, such as (but not limited to) contextual inquiry and usability testing
- User experience design
- Visual design
- Content design
- Ability to rapidly prioritize competing requirements.
- Ability to understand and simplify customer requirements.
- Ability to communicate end user feedback to technical and design leads.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proven knowledge of industry standards.
- Ability to travel onsite to Washington, D.C.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
