TheSenior Software Engineer will be part of an integrated NPD Operations & Sustainment team providing engineering support to our customer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for engineering, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
- Responsible for ensuring issues or potential impacts are identified and resolved, minimizing schedule and cost impacts.
- Provide problem information to Site Lead and Key Management Personnel.
- Submit PR's for problems on-site and keep all informed of status.
- Troubleshoot and support through visual inspection and user interaction.
- Responsible for troubleshooting customer issues.
- Approve timesheets.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED and 5+ years of equivalent work experience.
- Relevant work experience to include:
- Experience with JAVA.
- Experience with Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Security+ certification.
- TS/SCI clearance required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with JAVA.
- Experience in researching, evaluating, and identifying issues and common patterns.
- Experience with identifying opportunities for improvements, making recommendations, and designing and implementing systems using JAVA.
- Experience with maintenance and improvements to existing code as needed.
- Experience with the NGA's configuration management and Request for Change (RFC) process for review and impact assessment.
- Understanding of developing web based systems from dynamic results for a relational database.
- Capability and the ability to adapt effectively to changes or requirements.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and be self-motivated.
- Ability to travel as required.
