Job Summary
Aptive Resources is seeking a Project Manager to oversee professional services support for a federal client. The Project Manager will coordinate and communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements and provide recommendations that have a direct impact on the program and agency's mission. Responsibilities also include overseeing, directing, enabling and motivating resources to meet deliverables and performing assignments within project constraints.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in successfully managing large-scale programs for federal clients. They will also have previous experience managing multiple projects, with a total lifecycle budget and complexity. In this position, you will have overall responsibility for daily operations and deliverables. The Project Manager should have proven effective communication skills for collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
This full-time position is anticipated to be hybrid, with some work located at the client site in Washington, D.C., and some work taking place remotely. It is a contingent hire position.

Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and provide contract status reports.
- Submit contract deliverables on time, including but not limited to meeting minutes, memos and status reports.
- Manage and oversee contractor team.
- Develop and manage various communication deliverables for client.
- Engage in efforts on process development, improvement & sustainment.
- Retrieve and review data to analyze specific tasks and projects.
- Utilize data analytics to assist with client leadership decision-making, identify efficiencies with cost, and develop long term strategic planning efforts.
- Evaluate client processes for financial and administrative efforts, and recommend process improvements.
- Create Power BI Dashboards to analyze data.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently holds an active adjudicated CBP Background Investigation.
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, or other related field.
- At least 8 years of experience helping Federal agencies with program management and team support.
- Experience with leading and managing teams.
- Ability to provide oversight of team performance.
- Be the lead and point of contact for contract administration. Principal point of contact for large agency programs.
- Excellent presentation skills, particularly to senior leaders.
- Experience with managing data using systems such as SharePoint or Share Drive.
- Has superior customer service skills.
- The ability to contribute value to client interactions.
- Can think both strategically and conceptually, and can maintain a practical approach.
- Has strong business acumen as well as good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Can provide analytical, consulting and facilitation skills.
- Can work on implementing project planning skills to design, implement and facilitate initiatives.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
