Venturi, LLC, a Chenega company, has an excellent opportunity for a Principal Systems Analyst-Western Range Systems Performance Analysis . Venturi is a subcontractor to a company that operates, maintains, and sustains mission-critical systems to provide safe and effective launch, testing, and tracking of Department of Defense, civil, commercial, and international space lift vehicles. We support ballistic missile, guided weapon, and aeronautical tests and evaluations as well as support space situational awareness operations and experiments to defend the United States to ensure our nation's safety. Our employees serve at the forefront of global defense and space operations. This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.
This position may be eligible for a (hybrid) telecommuting schedule. Tasks for this position
must be performed largely on-site, but later assignments may be performed remotely.
Compensation for this position includes an annual salary of $110,000 to $130,000 plus competitive benefits.

Responsibilities
- Perform moderately complex systems analysis and research activities on Launch and Test Range System hardware and software to identify root causes for anomalous performance and develop graphics and narrative reports that effectively communicate analysis results and recommended mitigation strategies to the customer.
- Perform post-launch systems analysis functions using analytic software modeling tools, such as AGI Satellite Tool Kit (STK), MATLAB, and all MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Outlook) to model theoretical vs. actual performance of launch vehicles to support Radar, Command Destruct, Range Safety and Telemetry anomaly analysis, and equipment commitment planning.
- Resolve customer concerns with analysis details and products and respond to suggestions for improvements.
- Evaluate technical documentation of peer analysts as part of the structured peer review process for all documents.
- Research, analyze, and report on emerging negative anomaly trends to help coordinate with Sustaining Engineering Principals for corrective actions needed to ensure continued mission support capabilities.
- Evaluate junior analyst reporting products to ensure accuracy and compliance with company quality standards.
- Assist in the processing and analysis of Radar, Telemetry, and GPS data to evaluate instrumentation system performance to ensure that Western Range metric data systems are providing optimum performance and range safety coverage.
- Maintain a knowledge base on issues and concerns related to SPA that impact LISC's ability to execute its mission.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, computer science, engineering, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8+ years of experience in an engineering, data analysis, or related technical discipline
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Experience using computer systems, software, or tools for data analysis and manipulating data in different coordinate systems
- Prior experience working in a coding environment
- Experience with MATLAB preferred
- Basic understanding of launch operations and systems utilization concepts preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Demonstrate understanding of performance and requirements analysis techniques, strategies, and methodologies
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
- Valid U.S. driver's license required
- Interim Secret clearance is required on the hire date.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance for the duration of the contract

- Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals
