Principal Risk Specialist (Card Team)
As a Principal Intent Delivery Lead for Controls for the Adherence Quality Assurance ( AQA ) team in Card Risk, you will be responsible for managing the E2E delivery of regulatory call monitoring control intent against a strategic roadmap, including new builds, governance of existing controls, and or consultation for US Card.
Your focus will be to effectively coordinate and interface with the business in the design, development and operationalization of new (or existing) call/case monitoring controls for use in detecting regulatory risk within the US Card agent servicing environment. You will work closely with Legal, Compliance, Data Analysis, Operations and business partners to interpret requirements and ensure design and implementation of controls are delivered with quality and in harmony with AQA operational readiness needs. You will leverage project/process/program management tools to ensure full transparency throughout the development lifecycle, including intent development, delivery support & warranty.
You will work closely to ensure the performance of existing controls remain in line with well managed expectations, including documentation, change management and effectiveness.
In line with agile practices, you will also co-develop and influence the overall controls roadmap, with an eye towards ensuring that the near and long term prioritization of Control Intent is appropriately aligned to departmental vision, in line with Customer expectations and grounded in value. Additionally, you will help inform & shape a long term innovation agenda, including leading efforts to drive application & implementation approaches for Machine Learning, NLP and modeling.

Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver key Control Builds, ensuring controls are delivered according to specifications, well managed expectations and operationalized guidelines.
- Work closely with Business Partners, DAs, Operations, Legal and Compliance partners to ensure transparency, impediment removal and successful delivery of intent
- Contribute to a team of associates focused on intent development, control delivery, strategic prioritization, and ongoing process improvement
- Co develop a strategic vision for the AQA control environment
- Manage controls backlog, ensuring ongoing transparency and prioritization of efforts both with external clients but also internal DA and Operational development partners
- Ensure visibility and transparency for internal and external stakeholders to the status of the Controls backlog, including development & ongoing prioritization discussions
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 2 years of experience in Operations
- At least 2 years of experience in Project or Process Management
- At least 2 years of experience in Risk Management
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree
- Project Management certification or PMP certification
- 1+ years of experience working in agile frameworks including Kanban and Scrum
- 1+ years of experience in Product Management
- 3+ years of experience in Risk Management
- 3+ years of experience in Operations
- 3+ years of experience in project or process management
- 3+ years of experience in People Management
