Program Manager - Entrepreneurship Innovation Center

Salary Range $60,000 - $70,000

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the Entrepreneurship Innovation Center (EIC) team in the develop and
• execute a comprehensive program strategy aligning with the EIC’s mission and goals.
• Oversee the lifecycle of programs and initiatives within the EIC. This includes planning, budgeting, execution, and evaluation of programs to ensure their effectiveness and impact.
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and resources to aspiring entrepreneurs participating in the center’s programs. Foster an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages creativity, risk-taking, and collaboration.
• Organize workshops, seminars, pitch competitions, and networking events to promote the entrepreneurial mindset and business development programs. Ensure these events run smoothly and provide valuable experiences for participants.
• Define and manage pitch competitions and program events, to ensure effective use of the Center’s resources.
• Monitor the success and impact of the Entrepreneurship Innovation Center’s programs through data analysis, surveys, and participant feedback. Regularly report on program outcomes to stakeholders and leverage insights to improve the center’s offerings.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the Entrepreneurship Innovation Center and attract potential program participants, mentors, and partners. Consult and advise internal and external stakeholders on volunteer, alumni, and guest speaker opportunities.
• Must be able to work with constituents on campus, including students, faculty, and staff, while working effectively with influential external stakeholders, including donors, business leaders, sponsors, advisors, and alumni.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years experience in entrepreneurship, innovation management, or a related field, with a track record of successful program development and implementation.; three (3) years in a supervisory position preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate program participants, team members, and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including knowledge of startup challenges, funding opportunities, and industry trends.
• Project management expertise, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and
• maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to draw actionable insights from program metrics.
• Knowledge of marketing strategies and social media platforms to effectively promote the Entrepreneurship Innovation Center.

Conditions of Employment

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and programs .
• Please be advised, COVID-19 vaccinations are not required but encouraged for faculty and staff to be employed at Bowie State University. This protocol is subject to change.
