IT Systems Analyst, Workday Time System Analyst

The Workday Time System Analyst will be a part of the Workday Enterprise Services Team at the University of Maryland, College Park in the Division of Information Technology (DIT).

This position serves as the technical point-of-contact and subject matter expert for the time system (e.g. UKG), overseeing the system functionality and the operational collection of time slice data for hourly workers. The incumbent will work with stakeholders to be responsible for the proper and effective operation and integration of our time system, to oversee system or process changes, resolve issues/questions, and ascertain system capabilities that would best serve UMD hourly staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience: 

* Minimum of five (5+) years’ experience with time systems (e.g., Kronos).

* Experience providing support, problem identification, and resolution.

* Recent experience as the day-to-day system administrator for an electronic time system.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Strong knowledge of time processes and functions

* Ability to identify potential and actual problems, develop solutions and resolve to a positive outcome in the midst of simultaneously occurring work activities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

* Attention to detail with the ability to provide detailed documentation of processes and procedures

* Collaboration and strong communication skills to solicit ideas for system improvements, adoption, and ease of use

* Technical support experience including researching and resolving issues and recommending solutions or alternative methods to meet business needs

* Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under various conditions and constraints

* Ability to work as part of a team and with members of other functional/technical teams to identify action items, team member responsibilities, etc.

* Ability to understand possible impacts to changes to a highly integrated system, determine the depth/breadth of testing necessary to minimize risk of system changes, execute and record results of testing, etc.

* Analytical abilities, critical thinking, and problem-solving competencies to support non-standard, unique problem resolution

* Exceptional interpersonal skills, including relationship, communication (verbal & written), and conflict management

* Expertise with office productivity applications such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Office

Preferences:

* Experience with large-scale, cross-functional technology implementations

* Facilitation and presentation with large audiences

Salary range $98,000 -$105,000

Physical demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The incumbent works in an office environment and the position requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to attend meetings on and off campus. Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
