Athletic Ticket Operations AssistantThe George Mason University Intercollegiate Athletics Department, invites applications for the position of Athletic Ticket Operations Assistant. The Assistant will work under the direction of the Director of Sales & Ticket Operations.George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.Responsibilities:Assist in the day-to-day operations of the ticket office;Manage all incoming communications to the Athletic Ticket Office via phone, email, or walk-ins;Process ticket orders in Ticketmaster Archtics;Prepare and execute daily deposits to the University cashier's office;Supervise all aspects of ticket operations, including part-time ticket sellers for select sporting events,Collaborate and work with other units of the Athletics Department including Marketing, Events, and Fundraising; andDesign email marketing messaging for athletic events to key stakeholders.Qualifications:This position requires a 35-hour-per-week commitment; evening and weekend hours are necessary;The candidate must have demonstrated customer service skills, effective communication and organization skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment; andA Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in the ticket office is preferred.
