Billing AccountantThe George Mason University Office of Sponsored Programs, invites applications for the position of Billing Accountant. The Billing & Reporting team plays a critical role in financial management and oversight of externally sponsored funding.Responsibilities:Preparing and submitting monthly invoices for sponsored awards;Assisting with preparation of monthly and quarterly receivables report;Assisting in the identification of payments received by the General Accounting office;Review of new awards and modifications for billing requirements, and updating systems with the appropriate billing information;Assist with new awards and modifications as needed; andAssist with other billing, reporting, and closeout tasks as needed.Qualifications:Strong organizational skills and respect for compliance;Ability to be detail-oriented, multitask, and work independently;Finance and accounting experience is preferred; andExperience in a team environment and/or university setting is highly desirable.NOTE: Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and successfully complete a criminal background check as required by federal law.
