Managing Director of the Virginia Concussion Initiative (VCI)The College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) at George Mason University is seeking a research staff member to serve as the Managing Director of the Virginia Concussion Initiative (VCI).George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.About the Position:The focus of the VCI Managing Director position is to coordinate development and deployment of tele-mentoring, Virtual Community of Practice (VCoP), and Learning Management system operations. The VCI is a partnership with the Virginia Department of Health that brings together a team of medical and academic brain injury/concussion experts to provide guidance, resources, and education on how to optimally protect and support all young people. Learn more about the VCI here: https://concussion.gmu.edu/aboutRequired Qualifications:Master's degree in allied health or related field;Eligible for licensure as Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer, or other area of physical medicine and rehabilitation in the Commonwealth of Virginia;Clinical experience treating patients with mild traumatic brain injury/concussion;Experience managing multidisciplinary teams;Experience with use of technology platforms to deliver continuing medical education; andExperience maintaining continuing medical education accreditation.Preferred Qualifications:Interest and experience in conducting research in the area of mild traumatic brain injury/concussion;Experience with multi-disciplinary and multi-center collaborations (e.g., public schools and community health systems); andCompleted PhD or in process of completing dissertation.Benefits and Compensation Information:We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
