Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Operational Excellence Advisor who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As an Operational Excellence Advisor you will:
• Serve as an internal consultant maintaining strong strategic relationships with pillar and entity leads to support team leaders, and executive sponsors for project selection and management, facilitation, change leadership and evaluation of improvement efforts
• Partner with and provide coaching to stakeholders to identify and achieve performance improvement priorities, goals, and objectives.
• Be responsible for achieving results ensuring appropriate statistical analysis and lean six sigma methodology is used when analyzing current performance, establishing targets, and action plans.
• Provide instructional support for lean six sigma training programs and provide just in time coaching.
• Collaborate at all levels of the organization to champion identifying ways to continuously drive process improvement and transformational change within the organization.
•Develops the analytic and measurement strategy for all projects undertaken, including development of key performance indicators, identification of data sources and collection of baseline data.
•Communicates regularly with team leader, members and executive sponsors about team progress toward goal achievement, critical factors and obstacles.
Qualifications include:
•Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's degree preferred
•A minimum of 3 years of Lean Six Sigma and project experience and 2 years progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting is required
•Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma certification is required
•Minimum of five years in a Lean Six Sigma transformation and/ or Baldrige working environment required
•Experience with Design for Six Sigma, DMADV, DMAIC, and Quick Wins required.
•Proven experience facilitating Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Process Mapping, 5S workshops, and Root Cause Analysis sessions required
•Experience teaching healthcare Lean Six Sigma principles required
•Advanced level competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and Visio required
•Experience utilizing statistical analysis software such as Minitab required
•Proven ability to acts as a leadership change agent & constructively challenge current thinking/resistance
•Internal consulting experience supporting multi entity health systems preferred.
•Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional projects
•Ability to monitor, analyze and present performance data and design and implement process related action plans to improve performance or adherence to standards or regulations
•Must have advanced leadership skills with demonstrated ability to successfully serve as a coach and mentor to Black Belts and Green Belts
•Experience with the Malcolm Baldrige framework in a healthcare setting required. Baldrige Examiner training preferred
