The Account Manager oversees existing AgeTech Collaborative participants to identify improvements, ensure satisfaction and measure outcomes. Develops, executes, and implements new engagement programs and relationships that align with the Collaborative's goals. Manages participant relationships and acts as the main point-of-contact for all activities, including growth and development. This includes achieving participant satisfaction and their engagement/retention; coordinating and facilitating regular meetings with existing participants; and, building relationships with participants to ensure success of the AgeTech Collaborative community.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all AgeTech Collaborative participant activities including those within the organization.
  • Manages the day-to-day participant relationship and activities to ensure success of the product/program.
  • Ensures program participant value and product enhancement opportunities through annual account plan development.
  • Manages the ongoing quality control of programs and assures compliance with all contract terms including review process of the program and AgeTech Collaborative participant, oversight of marketing plans, product operational plans, and product enhancement.
  • Manages or participates in contract renegotiations in the portfolio for the products/programs offered to the organization's participants.
  • Influences matrix to optimize program functions, including strategic account planning and growth.
  • Works with the participants on the development of a continuous improvement process for all program and product categories.
  • Collaborates with the leadership to set strategic direction for the program and program development
  • Completes periodic competitive assessments of program or products in order to monitor relative value within the marketplace and identifies the features and competitive advantages versus the competition.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years account management, customer service experience, and/or experience working with startups
  • Strong customer service skills with ability to deal with different types of customers and clients
  • Proven track record of being able to retain and nurture multiple accounts and execute follow-up actions
  • Effective problem-solving skills to help resolve the needs of customers
  • Ability to collaborate and develop strong relationships with C-suite-level clients
  • Needs to be comfortable with some travel

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
