Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an Imaging Services Coordinator who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As an Imaging Service Coordinator, you will:
• Work closely with Manager, Patient Services Specialist/Lead, Centralized Scheduling, Technologist and Radiologist to provide a seamless patient experience.
• Assist MRI and PET/CT technologist in receiving patients, starting IV's and escorting patients to and from treatment areas.
• Ensure the proper set-up of arthrogram trays and draw medication per Radiologist direction, to maintain a sterile environment.
• Ensure proper coordination of services on behalf of referring physicians and their patients.
• Verifies patient information, by interviewing patient, receives patient and accurately document in all applicable computer system.
• Coordinates with Centralized Scheduling, confirming appointments, gathering demographic and insurance data and verifying that authorization is on file.
• Ensures the timely and proper collection of prior exams and reports needed for proper PET interpretation and comparison.
• Ensures proper Physician Order and authorization is on file for Arthrograms.
• Ensure Arthrogram supplies are ordered and stocked.
• Proactively reviews all scheduled exams in advance and serves as the Physician Office contact to resolve outstanding issues related to demographics, patient history, clinical requirements, diagnosis, etc.
• Communicates as necessary and in a timely fashion with front office, centralized scheduling and imaging center staff with regards to the status of pending authorizations.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and protects operations by keeping information confidential and following HIPAA guidelines.

Qualified Candidates will possess:
• Maryland Medical Assistance's License or Phlebotomist License
• Familiarity with Radiologic procedures, terminology & modality requirements
•Strong customer service background and focus
•Working knowledge and ability to perform accurately and efficiently on computer
•Demonstrated ability to multi-task
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•Understanding of Health Insurance Authorization processes
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and establish collaborative relationships with physicians, patients, clinical and administrative staff, and the public
•Proficient in the use of end-user computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
•Must have 2+ years' experience working as a medical assistant, phlebotomist or certified nursing assistant
•Valid Driver's License

Work Schedule:

7:30a-4:00pm M-F

This role will also consider a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist.
