Duties

  • You will be responsible for realty planning for acquisition, in-leasing, out-grants, management, and disposal of interests in real property.
  • You will act as the project leader and may be directly responsible for execution of difficult and highly complex or controversial projects with far-reaching scope and effect.
  • You will negotiate in-lease terminations or lease buyouts, including details of restoration or transfer of improvements to the fee owner.
  • You will monitor assigned real estate projects and provide briefings and points papers to stakeholders involved.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.


Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Planning and coordinating realty actions (i.e., actions to acquire major and minor land, space, and/or structures) to support a real property management program; 2) Coordinating with a variety of stakeholders (e.g., other agencies, governments, corporations, private property owners, and/or realtors) to execute real property management projects; 3) Conducting market analyses to determine the value of property; and 4) Functioning as a technical authority to solve real property management problems in very complex or controversial transactions involving complex negotiations.

This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

A forty-hour work week is typical of this position. Overtime may be required; work prior to or after normal working hours, to include mission essential work on weekends or holidays.

This position is being recruited at the full performance level.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
