Position Overview:

The United States Government Business Line Support Division (USGBL SD) convenes a broad spectrum of Chemonics' talented and experience staff to help refine and disseminate best practices, support systems that better capitalize on our breadth of resources across the USG Business Units (BUs), and to infuse capacity-building measures across critical business priority areas to meet the needs of our agile and adaptive workforce. The learning & development associate provides implementation support to the USG Business Line and BUs learning needs under the supervision of senior staff, while learning and broadening best practices in training program needs identification, design, delivery, and management. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides logistical support to the organization's curriculum planning and implementation.
  • Uses the Performance Learning Management System and other learning platforms to support e-learning and instructor led training activity planning and implementation.
  • Coordinates scheduling and delivery of USG programming, including collaboration with other business lines.
  • Supports the preparation and production of virtual, hybrid and/or in-person instructor led trainings.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with subject matter experts, business process owners, and facilitators throughout the company and continues to expand upon that network.
  • Assists in the development of training procedures, templates, forms, manuals and web pages and ensures compliance with overall corporate policies and standard procedures.
  • Undertakes increasingly complex assignments to support all areas of instructional design including needs assessments, design, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Oversees learning and development administration activities, such as corporate calendar requests, L&D invoicing and vendor payment processing, and support to professional development training requests.
  • Participates in new business activities and billable assignments.
  • Attends internal meetings and supports the design, delivery, engagement and/or evaluation of USG learning initiatives.
  • Supports the updating, improving, and publishing of USG resources using Adobe Acrobat, MS Office tools, and/or training authoring tools (ex. Articulate 360, Vyond, etc). Co-facilitates retreats and supports the design and development of retreat agendas with support and guidance from supervisory staff.
  • Expands knowledge in instructional design and training delivery through on-the-job training, reviewing internal resources, and attending external learning opportunities where appropriate.
  • Fosters and demonstrates a workplace inclusive of creating opportunity, serving others, building trust, innovation and exceeding expectations.
  • Takes initiative and performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the required knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed to perform the principal duties.
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 0 -2 years of relevant work experience, with ability to handle routine tasks and operational issues.
  • Demonstrated interest in adult learning and training program management.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work assignments.
  • Sensitivity to deadlines and ability to pay attention to details in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated integrity, independent thinking, judgment, and respect for others.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in problem solving and initiative to learn new skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in O365 applications, including Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Foreign language fluency desired.
  • Willingness to work overseas for up to 2-4 weeks per year and to consider long-term overseas assignments; experience living or working in developing countries preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to corporate offices to produce or facilitate events when needed.
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.

The Hourly Pay Range for this position is: $21.96 - $27.46.

An employee's pay position will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.
