Awarded in August 2021 to the Parsons Team, the TEAMS next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract has a three-year base period plus four one-year options that should take the period of performance through the end of 2028 into 2029.

The primary purpose of this contract is to provide outstanding systems engineering services vital for MDA mission success at multiple locations around the world. Venturi, LLC, a Chenega company, has an exciting career opportunity for an AEGIS Weapon System Requirements Engineer to perform important work for Missile Defense Agency on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering (MDSE) contract. This individual will join a talented and mission oriented professional team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers. and Contract staff who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get missile defense capability out to the Fleet.


Work you'll do

As an AEGIS Weapons System Requirements Engineer within our TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering team, you will:
  • Assess the degree to which the identified systems operations and technical requirements are being met and where improvements for modernization may be applied for the next generation of missile defense systems
  • Be responsible for the SM 3 Sea-based Weapons Systems Program Offices to assess the complete Fleet based missile Defense capability against stated requirements
  • Support the Chief Engineers and Chief System Engineer and assess and identify gaps in current base line technical and operational capabilities as well as identify areas for potential modernization of existing baseline
  • Take responsiblity for all areas of requirements, including drafting, analyzing, assessing, and verifying
  • Resolve complex technical issues and provide potential solutions to senior members of the Program Offices as well the Missile Defense Agency


Required Skills:
  • Master's degree in a STEM discipline
  • 12+ years of related experience working on DoD or missile defense programs
  • Work independently, as a team member, or lead teams/tasks
  • Apply engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems
  • Provide program oversite and recommendations for resolution of complex technical issues to senior leadership within the program office and MDA leadership
  • US citizenship with active Secret clearance

Desired Skills:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Prior experience with Aegis Weapons Systems
  • Experience with Weapon System Development
  • Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.
