Job Summary

Aptive Resources is seeking a Senior Communications Products Specialist with a strong background in strategic communications and project management to support and execute efforts for a federal client. The ideal candidate will have experience working on communications for health informatics and health IT efforts.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented product specialist with previous experience leading government contracts. They are an exceptional writer, skilled at developing communication materials for a variety of mediums. They are a proactive problem solver who works well both independently and as part of a team. The candidate must be committed to providing superior customer service and have a positive and flexible attitude. They excel when presenting to clients and are comfortable receiving and implementing feedback on project tasks. They will develop, lead, track, and support program communications across a variety of platforms, and they will ensure themes, messages and desired outcomes are consistent across communication channels.

This is a full-time position that is remote, and is a contingent hire.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support analysis of stakeholder feedback, existing resources, identify problems, risk management, and build out recommendations.
  • Support development of templates, reports, briefings, and other necessary materials.
  • Participate in meetings and support appropriate documentation, agenda development and meeting management.
  • Develop and monitor project schedule, including critical phases and key milestones.
  • Identify risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop recommendations and decision memoranda.
  • Create communications materials (e.g., newsletter articles, infographics and slide presentations).


Minimum Qualifications

  • 8 years of communications, commercial consulting and/or project management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Experience drafting charters, communication plans, operation plans, MOUs etc.
  • Experience with implementing proven successful communications campaigns in an integrated health care setting.
  • Experience providing expert advice related to strategic communications for both internal and external stakeholders.
