Overview

ERP International is currently seeking a Business Development Support Intern to participate in our 2023 Summer Internship Program. ERP's Internship Program is focused on identifying high potential and capable students and providing them with exposure and on the job experiences that help strengthen their skills and prepare them for their future careers. The ideal candidate for this internship is a rising Junior or Senior pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university who has an interest in business development in the government contracting sector. This individual will gain hands on experience by being involved in key tasks in support of the department's goals. As part of the internship Program all interns will have the opportunity to collaborate with their peer group, participate in executive sessions and learn about company and industry. This summer internship will be onsite at the ERP International HQ in Laurel, MD.

Responsibilities

The Business Development Support Intern will provide support to the Business Development team and also provide support for various ERP departments and projects. Working in a team environment, the intern will be an energetic self-starter and an entrepreneur at heart. This position will report to the Contracts Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities
  • Learn the basics of BD development for the government contracting industry.
  • Conduct background research, data gathering and analysis, and assessment of potential clients and competitors.
  • Maintain company's CRM database in SharePoint
  • Contribute to opportunity assessment to determine fit with corporate capabilities.
  • Support projects involving new business development initiatives and business plan development.
  • Assist with a variety of growth and team related assignments and tasks.


Other Areas of Responsibility:
  • Provide general administrative support to additional departments and assist with special projects, as needed


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Rising junior or senior studying Business or related filed.
  • Detail-oriented, able to multi-task, able to work independently while meeting specific deadlines.
  • Strong research capabilities
  • Proficient with Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel


Desired Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting in a corporate environment
  • 3.0 or higher GPA
