Treasury is responsible for the cash and investment management activities of the AARP enterprise. This includes maintaining sufficient liquidity for operating needs, maximizing earnings on investments within policy guidelines and efficiently processing daily transactions.

The Manager, Cash and Debt Management manages the annual cashflow activities of the organization. Administers payment transactions and collections, bank account organization and services, cashflow monitoring and electronic banking. Monitors bank performance, services and fees and makes recommendations for appropriate action. Collaborates with management to identify opportunities to streamline processes and develop new procedures that support the business unit/department.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the full cash and debt management function that includes both platform and corporate treasury units and compliance.
  • Manages banking and treasury operations, specifically cash management, cash forecasting, liquidity management, and short-term investments.
  • Develops world class automated cash management processes that deliver metric-driven and insightful reporting.
  • Researches and has a full understanding of treasury systems, cash and process flows, and identifies risks and implements mitigation strategies and controls to address them.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders including FP&A, Accounting, and IT teams to establish policies and processes, execute funding decisions, automate manual processes, and provide payment support to maintain adequate liquidity for each of the organization's entities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field, MBA or Master's in related field required.
  • CTP highly preferred.
  • 5+ Years of experience in Treasury and cash management, including 2+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment; Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
  • Strong project management skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates ability to successfully hire, retain, develop, and coach staff via a culture of real-time performance feedback, with ability to build both technical and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Bank Portal Cash Management tools, Microsoft Office Suite.Experience working with FIS Integrity Treasury Workstation a plus.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
