Awarded in August 2021 to the Parsons Team, the TEAMS next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract has a three-year base period plus four one-year options that should take the period of performance through the end of 2028 into 2029. The primary purpose of this contract is to provide outstanding systems engineering services vital for MDA mission success at multiple locations around the world. Venturi, LLC, a, Chenega company, has an exciting career opportunity for a Weapn Systems Assessment Engineer who will play an important role supporting Missile Defense Agency on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract. The Weapn Systems Assessment Engineer will provide direct technical support to the MDA by performing predictive analysis of MDS performance to support the technical rigor of test conditions, analytical support to system assessment leads, and synthesis and visualization of data to communicate key technical aspects of MDS performance.

Responsibilities

Work you'll do

As a Weapons Systems Assessment Engineer within our TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering team, you will:
  • Develop plans and requirements to support testing and assessments for C2BMC and cyber capabilities (or other missile defense sensor or weapon systems as assigned)
  • Assess technical performance for flight test, ground test, and cyber test analysis
  • Provide recommendations on the additions and improvements of the Missile Defense System
  • Support the Joint Analysis Team (JAT) and serve as system engineering interface to external teams

Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM field
  • 7+ years of experience in engineering for missile defense or related programs
  • Ability to analyze and assess the system's performance
  • Ability to plan and to execute required support, develop clear and concise written products, and present MDS technical matters to MDA senior leaders and MDA warfighter working group meetings in support of MDA/System Assessment
  • Applicable knowledge and experience could include Ballistic Missile Defense, Missile Defense System, Integrated Air and Missile Defense, Ground-based Midcourse Defense, Homeland Defense, THAAD, AEGIS BMD, C2BMC, cyber, Hypersonic Missile Defense, System-level Engineering Analysis, Architecture Assessment, Threat Analysis, or International Engineering
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and produce and present clear, concise presentations and documents
  • Ability to create a positive, collaborative working relationship with representatives and stakeholders for external organizations
  • Secret clearance required

Desired Skills:
  • Experience in requirements development and development of verification objectives is a plus
  • Data analysis and/or assessment experience
  • Experience working with the AEGIS weapon system
