The MIL Corporation seeks a highly skilled and motivated Cloud - Network Engineer (Cloud Networking, Associate) to join our team. The Hybrid Cloud/Network Engineer will be responsible for implementing, and maintaining hybrid cloud solutions and network infrastructure that meets the needs of our Federal Government client on-site at the Patuxent River, MD location. The ideal candidate should have experience in both cloud computing and network engineering. This position may be eligible for some remote work depending on contract/client and hiring manager approval.

  • Build and maintain solutions that integrate on-premise and cloud-based DoD environments.
  • Develop and implement strategies for hybrid cloud infrastructure security, monitoring, and backup and disaster recovery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new hybrid cloud-based applications and services.
  • Evaluate new cloud technologies and make recommendations on their integration into the existing environment.
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Implement automation and scripting to streamline hybrid cloud infrastructure management and network configuration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hybrid cloud infrastructure and network infrastructure.
  • Monitor and optimize hybrid cloud infrastructure performance and costs.
  • Maintain and update hybrid cloud and network infrastructure documentation.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7 years experience as a Cloud or Network Engineer or similar role .
  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud computing concepts and principles.
  • Experience with the AWS Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of private cloud environments and virtualization technologies.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and security, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Experience with automation and scripting tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $95,000 - $150,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
