Job Summary
Aptive is seeking a senior communications and digital leader highly experienced in managing large scale projects to join our rapidly growing team. As the Program Manager (PM), you will serve as the point-of-contact (POC) for federal clients for all strategic communications and digital services. In this role, you will provide overall leadership and guidance for all contractor personnel assigned and provide tactical and strategic support to strengthen the federal agencies brand as a data leader in addition to helping transform the customer experience (CX).
This senior-level, full-time position is located in Alexandria, VA. This is a remote position but may require attending meetings in person. This is a contingent hire position.

Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the program manager responsible for organizing, directing, and managing all aspects of performance of work, often involving complex and inter-related project tasks and the management of contractor personnel in multiple locations.
- Provide overall direction of program activities and successful completion of all assigned tasks.
- Manage and maintain contractor interface with the senior levels of the customer's organization.
- Consult with federal clients and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensuring conformance with program and project task schedules and costs and contractual obligations.
- Establish and maintain schedules, metrics and financial reports to show progress and effectiveness of projects to client.
- Organize and assign responsibilities to contract staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in program management in federal and/or statistical/ CX consulting space.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Demonstrated experience and documented success of large communications or digital services contracts, including people of various job categories and skills.
- Demonstrated progressive program management experience with at least one project of similar scope to have occurred within the past three (3) years with a total contract value greater than $100M and national delivery in a highly complex environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in the management and control of costs and resources for large scale Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) of this type and complexity.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; previous experience in digital transformation and maturing the CX is a plus.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
- Experience working with federal statistical agencies including Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics; Statistics of Income (IRS); etc.
- Ability to translate complex technical, data and statistical related products and programs to internal and external audiences.
- Strategic thinker with a drive to get all types of work done and a high attention to detail.
- Excellent ability to communicate across all mediums and settings, superior consulting abilities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of strategic communications and planning, media strategies, change management, policy, risk management, performance management, coaching and mentoring.
- PMP preferred.
