AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST

Duties

• You will understand vehicle/equipment operations and maintenance functions in order to assist in the attainment of optimal functionality and performance.
• You will utilize processes to assist in validating vehicle requirements in order to cost-effectively configure vehicle fleets.
• You will assist in the development of vehicle replacement programs to improve vehicle fleet condition.
• You will conduct thorough data analysis to cost-effectively manage vehicle fleet information under instruction.
• You will prepare, review, and analyze general fund budgets to ensure accuracy under supervision.
• You will possess an understanding of federal, DoD, and Agency policies; and legislative statutes applicable to vehicle management in order to ensure compliance.

• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Understand vehicle/equipment operations and maintenance functions in order to assist in the attainment of optimal functionality and performance. 2. Utilize processes to assist in validating vehicle requirements in order to cost effectively configure vehicle fleets. 3. Assist in the development of vehicle replacement programs to improve vehicle fleet condition. 4. Conduct thorough data analysis to cost effectively manage vehicle fleet information under instruction. 5. Assess performance against expectations in the form of analysis to increase optimization under instruction. 6. Prepare, review, and analyze general fund budgets to ensure accuracy under supervision. 7. Possess an understanding of federal, DOD, and Agency policies; and legislative statuses applicable to vehicle management in order to ensure compliance.
