Venturi, LLC, a Chenega company, has an opportunity to deliver logistical support services in support of a US government customer. This work includes shipping and receiving operations, mail delivery, supply chain management, warehouse processes, move management, property accountability, heavy equipment management, and automotive fleet support. Venturi has relevant past performance to meet this customer's requirements. Starting in 2008, Venturi has provided logistics, deployment, and sustainment operations to various Department of Defense customers.
Venturi has an exciting career opportunity for a Project Manager who will assume overall responsibility of managing workforce performance and work required within the scope of this contract and shall serve as the principal point of contact for the contractor with the government. The Project Manager is responsible for attending weekly staff meetings and other periodic meetings as required, including but not limited to weekly joint meetings with the COR and the designee to review and plan actions concerning scheduling, priorities, and performance issues. The Project Manager is responsible for visiting staffed locations and future locations on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis as directed by the government to ensure operational needs are being meet and to address any problems on site. The nature of the work required by this contract is such that it is considered essential for a Project Manager capable of making decisions and acting for the contractor be on site at Redstone during core hours. These assignments may be revised with the concurrence of the COR. Regardless of the assignments, the contractor shall ensure that, on any normal working day an individual with designated authority to manage all requirements of this contract is on-site and available at Redstone.

Responsibilities
- Serve as point of contact for government customer with overall responsibility for customer relationships and programs.
- Overall supervisory, programmatic, and contractual control over all contractor personnel to include managing funds and resources.
- Formulate and enforce work standards.
- Handle all associated performance standards to include cost and quality control implementation, and standardization of services.
- Develop presentations and information papers; research, analyze, and compile data into information, decisional, and instructional briefings; and develop metrics to track level of effort and progress in preparation for senior level reviews and updates.
- May be required to provide daily supervision and employee recruiting, development, and retention in compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Prepare and review monthly and yearly reports to assist in project management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree preferred
- 7+ years of experience as a team lead or similar position
- 7+ years of experience in the logistics industry
- Top Secret clearance required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communicator with strong technical capacity and ability to accurately complete all documentation.
- Extensive knowledge of customer service best practices with ability to resolve issues while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain productivity both independently and collaboratively.
- Capable of multi-tasking and effectively managing programs as a proficient problem solver and teamwork supporter.
- Detail-oriented with great organizational and time management skills with the ability to delegate and assign tasks.
- Ability to coach and mentor other employees.
- Working knowledge of standard technology used in the industry (e.g., POS, program tracking, bookkeeping, word processing).
- Expansive knowledge of logistics and life-cycle management principles, concepts, policies, and regulations.
- Working knowledge of contractual processes, procedures, and technical requirements as it applies to logistical support.
- Expert ability to meet and deal with customers using a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to manage and supervise a large work force.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, to include writing and preparing memorandums, letters, briefings, and other official correspondence.
- Expansive knowledge, skill, and ability in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), as well as other applications as necessary.
