Job Summary: 
Westat is seeking a full-time Data Manager - SAS Programmer to work with Westat programmers and epidemiologists to provide support services for many projects for various federal government agencies. These projects require conducting a range of data management and analytic tasks. This role will assist the Westat team in tracking data requests, developing analytical variables and data files, delivering data to researchers, and managing tasks.

Job Responsibilities:
•     Use SAS to perform data management tasks and support analysis.
•     Work with multifaceted teams comprised of epidemiologists, statisticians, and programmers.
•     Conduct data reviews and create documentation.
•     Assist with task timelines and management.

Basic Qualifications:
•     A Bachelor's degree, preferably in biostatistics, epidemiology or related public health fields.
•     Applied SAS programming skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
•     A Master's degree in biostatistics or epidemiology.
•     Knowledge of R and Python. 
•     Skilled at translating concepts into algorithms for creation of analytic variables.
•     Experience with large, longitudinal health studies.
•     A demonstrated aptitude for data operations and the use of programming for data manipulation and investigation.

Other Required Qualifications: 
•     Demonstrated communication skills.
•     Detail oriented.
•     Collaboration with teams, managers and/or clients.
•     Organization skills, including time management ability.
