Summary

This is a non-bargaining unit position.
This is not a (drug) testing designated position (TDP).

This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of the Administrator in Washington, D.C. The incumbent of this position serves as the Senior Product Manager for the MySBA initiative within the Office of the Administrator (OA).

Duties

As a member of MySBA's Implementation Team, the incumbent plays an essential role as the SBA moves to facilitate interagency collaboration with the purpose of delivering an improved customer experience. The incumbent is responsible for providing oversight for development, analysis, and/or evaluation procedures for existing and potential products and will serve as a Senior Product Manager for one or more products varying in size and technical complexity supporting the MySBA initiative. The incumbent works closely with MySBA leadership, program office leadership across the agency, and development project team(s) to define and mange product direction. The incumbent is responsible for implementing information technologies that are aligned with SBA's business strategies, including the MySBA initiative and its various program offices. The incumbent builds products delivering unparalleled value to the SBA by leveraging emerging technology, methodologies, and trends found in the industry.

Qualifications

GS-15: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:
- Providing oversight of development, analysis, and evaluation procedures for existing and potential products; AND
- Leading cross-functional teams, including designers and software engineers to delivery products and services in an iterative manner meeting mission and user needs; AND
- Implementing information technologies that are aligned with SBA's business strategies by collaborating with stakeholders to strategize and manage product and service direction; AND
- Delivering unparalleled value to SBA by leveraging emerging technologies, methodologies, and trends found in the industry; AND
- Managing one or more products of varying size and technical complexity.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled
