Budget Team Coordinator for the Provost Office Budget TeamThe George Mason University Office of the Provost is looking for a remote, part-time (20-30 hours per week) Budget Team Coordinator to support the Provost Office Budget team with day-to-day budget and finance operations. The Office of the Provost provides leadership and guidance to support and achieve the academic mission of the university. George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.Responsibilities:Generate monthly reconciliation reports for departments as needed;Support the maintenance of financial documentation as required;Serve as back-up to Business Operations Specialist;Assist with the production, routing, and tracking of financial forms;Assist with gathering documentation for financial reconciliation;Assist departments in solving expense discrepancies or billing issues;Process requests for procurement and personnel;Submit requests for student stipends and tuition waivers; andComplete other tasks as assigned.Required Qualifications:High school diploma/GED;Willingness to learn with the ability to manage multiple priorities;Demonstrated listening and comprehension skills;Demonstrated organizational skills with an ability to manage information from multiple sources;Demonstrated attention to detail;Intermediate to advance MS Office skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams;Basic experience using Adobe for editing documents;Ability to follow and interpret rules and policies;Ability to maintain harmonious working relationships with a population of diverse individuals; andAbility to maintain confidentiality.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Ellucian Banner and MicroStrategy;Experience creating and manipulating Adobe Acrobat pdf files; andExperience working on a hybrid team.
