This position will install, maintain, and monitor computer based DDC systems. The Building Automation Technician will inspect HVAC systems and controls to determine preventative maintenance schedules or finds needed for corrective maintenance repairs, and report findings to the Building Automation Supervisor. This position will work at our Fairfax campus. The working hours will be Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm.Required Qualifications:High school graduation with generally 2 or more years of trade school with major course work in HVAC and building automation control systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;Considerable experience (typically 4+ years) in pneumatic, electric, and electronic control systems;Considerable experience (typically 4+ years) working with building automation systems;Considerable experience (typically 4+ years) building automation related to commercial HVAC equipment and maintenance and DDC control systems; andMust currently possess an appropriate, active, valid motor vehicle operator's license that meets all of GMU's requirements for operating state vehicles and equipment under Mason's Vehicle Use Policy 1411 https://universitypolicy.gmu.edu/policies/vehicle-use/.
