We are looking for dedicated professional personnel to work with our ServiceNow platform team within the Information Technology organization, supports IT service management to automate business processes. Collaborates with other administrators to develop solutions and changes. Knowledge of XML and structural programming concepts. Familiarity with UI, SQL, HTML and CSS to design, configure, develop, troubleshoot, and implement baseline. When required, develop custom applications to enhance the platform. Knowledge of ITIL processes and advanced problem-solving ability. Manage tool configuration to ensure reliable Production instance. Monitors the platform to ensure stability and implements architectural changes when necessary. Also supports other computer operating software systems, enterprise back-office and messaging software, and middleware that could integrate with the ServiceNow platform. Assists users in determining the cause of systems problems and suggests corrective procedures; ensures that backup procedures are in place, and maintenance of the County's ServiceNow instances. This position works with a team of System Engineers and Analysts on enterprise systems, configuring, developing, installing, testing, and monitors systems. Participates in and assist IT analyst in troubleshooting and repairs SW and HW server technologies providing 24 x 7 support: documents results. Performs other assignments and duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a bachelor's degree in computer science, or closely related field; plus one year's systems programming experience in a complex information systems environment.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and experience with UI, SQL, HTML and CSS. Experience developing custom applications to enhance the ServiceNow platform. Knowledge of ITIL processes and advanced problem-solving ability. ServiceNow CSA certification. 3-5 years of experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is generally sedentary, performed in a normal office environment. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

- Participates on project teams designing and integrating new solutions. Maintains knowledge of computing environments and assigned systems, and increases technical, communication and customer service skills. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of procedures and policies used to perform job duties. Participates in and provides input to enhance and improve productivity of systems, environments and services via effective use of tools on computing platforms and new ideas. Responds to county emergency response activation.
- Monitors ServiceNow system, provides technical support, configuring, developing, installs of operating system upgrades, tests, and maintains operating systems. Implements standards and procedures for the operation and maintenance of the platform. Acts immediately about system anomalies, faults and issues and alerts Sr. System Engineers about systems status, elevating issues to 2nd and 3rd tier engineers and vendors, works with customers and vendor resources to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Participates in implementation of new modules, platform enhancements, integrations, and other updates. Follows established change management procedures and protocols during the installation and maintenance of software and system tools.
- Keeps track of and works with IT Program Manager(s), System Engineers, Programmer Analysts and Infrastructure Business Analysts for updates, enhancements, and maintenance of the platform. Conducts proactive monitoring, evaluating maintenance routines to maximize available space and optimal level of overall system performance. Monitors backup procedures, conducts testing, and participates in planning for disaster recovery and user procedures for efficient data restore. Perform periodic system diagnostics. Maintain complete system records of configurations and user documentation, update documentation procedures for equipment installation, configuration, and inventory management. Configure and test operating systems, applications, and software in compliance with departmental standards. Assists in managing and configuring platform and server and desktop policies and is a resource to activate users as needed.
- Responds to and coordinates customer requests and inquiries via participation in the tiered support structure maintained by DIT. Assist users in determining the cause of platform problems, provides corrective actions, and provides Level 2 technical support. Performs capacity planning and resource consumption related to assigned system(s). Develops and maintains standards, procedures, and documentation. Participates in and/or coordinates multi-system environmental and utilities, and operations.
