Manager, Financial Analysis (Systems- On Demand Finance)

The Capital One On-Demand Finance team owns and maintains multiple systems used across the Finance organization. We support over 1,000 users as they run their monthly planning and financial reporting processes.

We are seeking a Manager to lead the prominent and highly governed Financial Hierarchy, Corporate Allocations and Legal Entity Allocations/Management Fee processes, which includes presenting to multiple executives on a regular basis. This role will be a leader in innovation, strategy and change management, helping our analyst community re-imagine their future state processes and tools in an "On Demand Finance" world centered around automation and on-demand availability of data and results. Ultimately, this role will effectively influence and implement process enhancements and ensure well managed monthly processes.

Responsibilities will also include:
  • Leading a team of highly talented associates and contractors to design and implement solutions that will enable process re-imagination and change the way they work
  • Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of our systems, including activities, risks and issues, assumptions and dependencies
  • Leading two Agile pods as Product Owner and collaborating in an Agile environment to drive process enhancements
  • Holding regular updates with executive leadership
  • Owning the underlying application, controls and governance supporting planning and reporting processes at Capital One
  • Other duties as assigned


Our ideal candidate has strong problem solving, strategic thinking, and customer focus skills. Additionally, we seek a team player with excellent communication skills and a results-oriented, positive attitude.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years experience in financial analysis, financial systems, or accounting, or a combination
  • At least 2 years experience with Planning, Consolidation, CPM, or EPM applications


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  • At least one year of people management experience
  • 3+ years of experience with OneStream software application or similar software
  • 6+ years' experience in financial analysis, financial systems or accounting
  • 1+ years of Agile methodology experience
