Our client in the federal government industry is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist to maintain their inventory control records. The Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for monitoring usage transactions, tracks the timing of reorder actions and verifies cost changes for parts. Candidate must be able to:
- Maintains inventory control records in an automated system for items or parts needed in organization support and maintenance programs
- Monitors usage transactions, tracks the timing of reorder actions, verifies cost changes for parts and subassemblies
- Performs or leads inventory control work when such work involves establishing lead times for ordering and staging material, and tracking and adjusting inventory
- Participates in studies and surveys to improve effectiveness and efficiency
- Collaborates with supervisor and higher level officials in making decisions relating to major changes in work plans or operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience in retail and/or warehouse inventory
- Valid drivers license is required and ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Excellent communications skills and interpersonal skills
