Summary:

The Help Desk Specialist/VTC Technician support personnel will provide VTC facilitation and Presentations Support on up to 20 VTC systems. The Help Desk Specialist/VTC Technician will perform Help Desk support in a variety of IT support services which can range from troubleshooting to physical hardware management, updating software, and creating and configuring network accounts for end users.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Verify conference room scheduler daily to ensure no room has been double booked.
  • Prepare conference/training rooms appropriately for scheduled events.
  • Conduct informal ad-hoc/on-the-spot training with an end-user in response to a VTC.
  • Perform additional audio visual operation and maintenance for VTC equipment on the DISA Global Video Service (GVS) and the local Air Force network.
  • Respond to end-user requests submitted through the MyHelpdesk Ticketing system in accordance with customer Update and Resolution Windows timeframe.
  • Provide support to end-users for either PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware.
  • Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct the core problem.
  • Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties by determining if the problem is affecting other users and considered "broad spectrum" or just a single user's problem.
  • Provide user support for configuration and administration of specialized technologies as identified by the government.
  • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years' experience providing VTC facilitation and presentations support.
  • 1+ years' experience with knowledge management in SharePoint 2013.
  • 1+ years' experience working with: • Christie projectors • Crestron and AMX Displays • Titan Projectors • CISCO VTC Equipment • Cabling • Video Splitters • Multiplexors • Televisions • Video walls • Microphones • Other related VTC and AV Equipment.
  • Security+ CE certification.
  • Secret clearance required.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting.
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to remotely train and respond to end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it
  • Must have the ability to adjust schedule to support weekend requirements as needed.
