Dewberry is seeking a GIS Technician for our Fairfax, VA office. It's a superb opportunity for an up-and-coming GIS pro to join an expanding solutions team at a leading geospatial firm.
Dewberry's Geospatial & Technology Services (GTS) group delivers geospatial solutions for government and private sector clients using a variety of commercial and open-source tools. We're looking for GIS Technician to help deliver projects that include GIS web applications, geospatial analytics, spatial data management, process automation and solutions architecture. Above all, the GIS Technician will be a good problem solver and communicator.

Responsibilities
The new GIS Technician will:
- Configure and manage GIS applications using Esri's ArcGIS suite of products
- Support development of GIS-enabled websites, user interfaces and APIs
- Support deployed solutions, including hosted solutions on DimensionalView® - Dewberry's geospatial platform-as-a-service
- Manage users, groups, content and data in ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online
- Perform geospatial analysis and develop models to solve problems and assist with decision making
- Manage spatial data in a variety of formats and data stores
- Develop logic and scripts to automate data flows and other process
- Maintain internal processes and tools used by the remote sensing team
- Be comfortable in client facing roles and participating in a group setting
- Interact with teams virtually and in person to communicate progress and demonstrate solutions
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously
Required Skills & Required Experience
We're interested in the following skills and experience (you don't need to have them all to apply) :
- Low-code application development with ArcGIS Web AppBuilder, Experience Builder, Dashboards, Survey123 and other Esri products.
- Custom widget development with Esri's Web AppBuilder or Experience Builder
- Automation and modelling using Safe FME/ArcGIS Data Interoperability extension
- Competency with UI and web development with JavaScript or other frameworks
- Competency with python development for process automation and analysis
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure)
