Labs Incubator Intern - 2023-2024 Academic Year

Key Role Details
  • This is a paid internship that is part time, requiring 15-20 hours per week.
  • Participation in the internship requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location, in accordance with Capital One's hybrid working model , for the duration of the program.

Basic Qualifications
  • Current student of and will be actively enrolled in the same course of study of the most recent degree through full duration of the program at the University of Maryland, College Park ; University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or higher with an expectation that the most recent degree will be obtained by August 2024 or earlier
  • At least 1 year of experience with Python


Preferred Qualifications
  • Currently earning a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field of study
  • At least 1 year of experience with machine learning and various subfields (deep learning, Graph ML, NLP, explainability, etc.)
  • At least 1 year of experience with relational databases
  • At least 1 year of experience with large scale data analytics
  • At least 1 year of experience with AWS

A variety of software engineering groups within Capital One provide students with opportunities to contribute to innovative projects. Projects mostly focus on building leading edge ML platforms and products, where the work involves a variety of modern software engineering practices like large scale data engineering and analytics, libraries and tooling, MLOps, CI/CD, and open source, among others.
