Adventist Health Care Fort Washington Medical Center seeks to hire a Registered Nurse (RN), Occupational Health/Worker's Comp for our Occupational Health Team who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), Occupational Health/Worker's Comp you will:

•Coordinate all local Workers' Comp activities.
•Partners with OH NP Manager, local HR team, and entity/unit leaders/managers to address, as needed, issues related to work-related injuries and the return to work (RTW) program.
•Have working knowledge of FMLA and ADA regulations.
•Work effectively with the TPA adjuster, WC attorney(s), unit managers/entity leadership, facility physicians/providers to promptly return injured employee back to work, in modified or full duty.
•Actively involved with new hire health assessment/physical process and new/current employee vaccination programs/initiatives, TB screening, fit testing, and annual medical surveillances, as well as data entry and reconciliation in the AHC employee health database.
•Ensures compliance with all Adventist HealthCare Occupational Health policies and regulatory mandates (e.g., CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, NIOSH, etc.).
•Working with the OH NP and/or Campus NP Manager, communicates quarterly with management on WC data trends, injury frequency and costs, and hazard elimination initiatives necessary to enhance overall HCW safety.
•Based on trends, recommends to management educational opportunities to improve HCW safety.
•Works with the OH NP and/or Campus NP Manager to develop and implement injury prevention measures to decrease the number of back injuries, falls, and other types of work-related injuries.
•Maintains OSHA log (keeping data current) and ensures regulatory compliance.
•Communicate promptly and in writing with the injured worker regarding state WC laws, employee rights/responsibilities, and the AHC Return-to-Work Program. After injury, secures appropriate medical release form and consent. All communications are compassionate and consistent with organizational values.
•During an event requiring HCW screenings, acts as a team lead member of the Emergency Event HCW Screening Center or as a member of the Emergency Response Team, as directed by the entity command center or the health department.

Qualifications Include:
•Bachelor's degree in Nursing
•2-5 years' RN experience in hospital setting. Emergency, critical care, urgent care, or primary care experience desired
•Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Maryland required
•Current CPR certification issued by American Heart Association
•Maryland WC Case Manager Certificate preferred
